Welcome to Direct Sports®. Let me introduce myself. My name is Steve Boothe, I'm the J.O.A.T. (Jack Of All Trades) at Direct Sports®. Some of you may recognize my name, either by email or speaking with me on the phone. I want to tell you a little about me, Direct Sports®, the people that work here, and what we really represent. Direct Sports®, has been in the softball and baseball business long enough to know what our customers want, or at least we hope we do!!!. We know you want good prices, quick delivery and excellent customer service. We are ball players, coaches, Moms and Dads, fans, etc. We want to offer you the very best in equipment and the very best in customer service. We've all had bad experiences with the internet, mail-order and even retail stores. We've seen it all. But we've all had good ones too. We want your experience with Direct Sports® to be a positive one, EVERY TIME!!! If ever, you have a complaint, a comment, a praise, a recommendation to the website, the catalog, the way we do business, or even a hot tip on a new item, LET US KNOW! We truly appreciate all the feedback we get. I realize that we have a feedback form on the site, but this page is a little different. We want to know what's going on with our customers, the softball and baseball industry, the message boards, and even the weather in Michigan in March. I personally have a couple very good customers in Michigan that I have developed a "friendship" over the years. These guys keep me posted on how much snow they have in Michigan in Jan. and Feb., and believe me, its more than we have in VA. For those of you that have visited our site, called our customer service department, or even visited our retail store, THANK YOU!!! You are what makes Direct Sports® so special. If you are new to our site, our catalog, or our retail store, WELCOME!! I want to tell you a little about our staff. I realize that possibly I may be a little biased on this one. We have, without a doubt, the best in the business, and if you don't think so, let me know. Our shippers get things out the door faster than anybody in the business, they ship things right, they ship things fast. Our shipping guys work as a team to make the warehouse clean, quick, and efficient. These are the guys that you never see. These are the guys that work ridiculous hours. These are the guys that never get any respect. Mick, Curt, Dave, Anthony, Canterbury, Brad, Jamie, and Michael H. Our phone representatives know the answers, and if they don't, they will get it for you. We try to be polite, courteous, and knowledgeable on every phone call. They will not try to "cheat" you, they will not try to "up sale" you anything, they will not try to steer you into something you may not want. Some, you may have spoken too. They do more than just answering the phone, believe me!! Here are some of the names that you may recognize. Bonnie (Catalog layout, Too many other tasks to list), Melinda (screen printing and laser engraving), Stacey (Too many tasks to list), Jennifer (Catalog model and screen printing). April (Catalog model and Too many other tasks to list), Angie (Executive Assistant to CEO, Model and too many other tasks to list), Jeff (He's the catalog layout guy, and catalog model, screen printing). Brenda (Way too many tasks to name), Billie (catalog layout and sales representative, return department), Amanda (catalog model and sales), Chris (website design, internet sales, "keeper of the database") Sara C., Sarah P., Sheila, Brittany( Sales representatives), Mike Smith. (Sales Manager and product specialist), Jill (Vice President), Mike (CEO),. Andrew (President). Conrad and Elrod. These are just a few of some of the names and people of Direct Sports, of who we are, what we represent, what we stand for in the industry. Again, we've all had the experience of calling a mail order company and having to listen to all that "stuff" after you've ordered about all the "specials" they are offering. We aren't about that. Not at all. Our website uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to protect your personal information. Credit cards are encrypted, with certificates from Verisign. We don't sell, give, or "pass out", or even offer ANY information on our customers, to anybody! Whether it be email addresses, names, physical addresses, phone numbers or anything else. This is very private information between Direct Sports® and our customers. We have never bought or sold any database at all, period. Our customer database is grown only from a new customer that has placed an order, called us for a catalog, filled out the catalog request form on our site, and that's all. I hate getting junk mail, I hate getting catalogs in the mail I have no interest in, I hate getting phone calls from somebody trying to sell me something when I'm trying to eat supper at home after I've had a busy day at work. This goes against every thing we have to offer and stand for at Direct Sports®. WE WANT TO KNOW!! Let us know anything on your mind that can help us better serve you.
