For 2027 the USSSA models get a new tricolor fade look on the same APX barrel and VCX3 connection as last year, at $399.95. The Tigershark is the same bat in a limited camo-and-teeth edition, same price. New this year: a USA Baseball Supra at $349.95 and a T-ball Supra at $89.95, so the line now covers a player from age 4 to 13. And because the barrel didn't change, the 2026 Supra at $299.95 is the value play while it lasts.

What changed from the 2026 Supra
On the USSSA models, the look. The 2026 was neon mint and pink; the 2027 is a tricolor fade. The technology list is the same on both years:
- APX Composite barrel. Louisville Slugger's soft, game-ready composite. It compresses on contact and is designed to be near peak performance out of the wrapper, with a short break-in.
- VCX3 connection. The two-piece joint that dampens vibration while keeping some feedback in the hands.
- XPND end cap to extend performance toward the end of the 2¾" barrel.
- Balanced swing weight, LS Pro Comfort grip, Pro Design knob taper, one-year warranty.
What's new is the range. The USA Baseball version brings the Supra barrel to Little League and rec players for the first time, the T-ball version starts kids on it at age four, and the one-piece JBB covers coach pitch in between. That's the whole path from tee to 13U in one bat family.
Supra vs. Supra Tigershark
They're the same bat. Same APX barrel, same VCX3 connection, same balanced swing weight, same sizes, same price. The Tigershark is a limited edition with a camo barrel, shark-teeth graphics, tiger stripes and a riveted logo. When it's gone, it's gone; the standard Supra will be around all season. So the decision is purely which one your player wants to walk up with. At 11 years old, that's not a small thing.
Don't confuse it with the Select PWR Tigershark BBCOR, which shares the graphics but is a completely different bat: an end-loaded alloy-barrel hybrid for high school power hitters, covered in our Select PWR post.
Which Supra do you need?
- USSSA 9U–12U: the -10 (or Tigershark -10) for most players; the -8 for strong 11s and 12s.
- USSSA 13U: -8 or -5. USSSA requires -8 or heavier at 13U, and BBCOR -3 at 14U as of 2026, so a -5 bought now is a one-season bat for most 13-year-olds.
- Coach pitch, 6U–8U: the JBB -10. One-piece with the Tuned Mass Damper instead of the VCX3 connection.
- Little League, Cal Ripken, Dixie and other USA Baseball leagues: the Supra -10 USA. The USSSA Supra is not legal in these leagues.
- Tee ball: the -13 T-Ball. Approved tee balls only.

The 2026 Supra: same barrel, $100 less
Because the 2027 USSSA models carry the same technology as the 2026, last year's Supra is the same bat in a different color. It's on closeout at $299.95 in -10, -8 and -5 while it lasts, with the same stamp and the same one-year warranty. If your size is there and the mint-and-pink look is fine with your player, that's the smart buy. Buy the 2027 if you want the fade or the Tigershark, or if you need the USA, JBB or T-ball versions, which have no 2026 equivalent.
Before the first swing
The APX barrel is built to feel game-ready early, but it's still a composite: give it 150–200 hits with real baseballs, rotate the barrel a quarter turn each swing, keep it out of games below 60°F, and never hit dimpled cage balls with it. Details in how to break in a bat.
